Abstract:
This paper is based on a report prepared by the Precast Concrete Subcommittee of the Research Committee of the Structural Engineer Association of Southern California (SEAOSC) published in 1958. The paper is a guide to the design and construction of precast concrete buildings and covers materials, tests, controls, design, manufacture, handling, erection, connections, drawings, and supervision. Special attention is given to seismic resistance by combinations of precast concrete units.
