Title: Analysis of Circular and Annular Slabs for Chimney Foundations

Abstract:Formulas based on the theory of plates are presented for the computation of moments and shears in circular and annular slabs for chimney foundations. The slab is assumed to be of constant thickness, either simply supported or fixed at the chimney wall. Foundation pressure is assumed to vary linearly and exist over all portions of the slab. Results for some typical cases are presented in charts.
