Abstract:
A hypothesis is proposed for producing economical struc-tural concrete of practically no shrinkage, at comparatively higher strength and modulus of elasticity, with lower creep, and with even much less cost than conventional concrete by the synthesis of gap-graded coarse aggregate and shrinkage-compensating matrix. Basically, it will consti-tute an unprecedented synthesis by taking the proven advantages of both gap-graded concrete and shrinkage-compensating expansive-cement concrete.
