Abstract:
Shear wall and shear wall frame systems are analyzed using computer programs with which engineers are familiar. This method enables the analysis of shear walls with an arbitrary number of bands of openings, of almost any shape of stepped shear walls. Variable story heights andany wind load distribution can be taken into account.
