Abstract:
Presents the development of stress blocks and a flexural analysis of reinforced concrete sections with compression concrete confined in circular spiral steel binders. Results of 18 reinforced concrete beams tested by authors and 30 beam tests available in the literature are analyzed by the proposed method and a satisfactory agreement found between the computed and the experimental ultimate moment.
