Abstract:
Previous investigations of the behavior of concrete under multiaxial loading configurations have identified levels of significant change in the behavior of the material under increasing stress and have established the envelopes which are formed by the variation of these levels in stress and strain space. Tests on a particular concrete using different stress paths in the triaxial stress domain indicate that these envelopes are path dependent. The effect of stress path on each of the envelopes has been quantified and the paths giving the most critical envelopes identified.
