Abstract:
The landscape of tilt-up construction has been evolving over the past decade with an increasing volume of thinner sandwich wall panel designs and connector systems. These panels are performing as load-bearing structural members in similar fashion to a more traditional panel design. Devoid of industry standards, engineers are left to interpret and accept independent research different for each system. The Tilt-Up Concrete Association has completed the first full tilt-up panel research since the 1980s to establish a standard for performance and modeling. This presentation will cover a general overview of TCA's testing program on Partially Composite Insulated Walls.
