Abstract:
This presentation reviews the current capabilities of automated measurement systems for ready mix concrete trucks. It discusses methods of slump evaluation in addition to a wide array of other parameters such as drum speed, detection of mixing end, water addition, temperature, volume, slump flow, German DIN flow and rheological properties. It also presents a discussion on the synergy of such expanded system when used in conjunction with global positioning system and wireless transmission to central database.
