Abstract:
Design rules are described for determining the lateral distribution of concentrated vertical loads in decks made from precast concrete members. The rules are derived from the results of an analytical parameter study, and design examples show how to use them. These new rules are put forward for possible inclusion in Chapter 16 of ACI Building Code 318.
