Abstract:
Tony Murray was a concrete repair contractor and professional engineer. During his career he was able to implement engineering principles into everyday practice of concrete repair. The presentation covers the principals and practice of reinforcing steel corrosion and re-passivation, repair material shrinkage, datasheet testing and other material properties, repair material selection practice, surface preparation and field testing to verify successful repair implementation. Industry standard basics will be reviewed from a historical perspective covering Mr. Murrays 40-year career.
