Abstract:
Expo'92 of Seville has been an important laboratory where to experimente singular architecture. Tensile structures and textil roofs have been used intesivily in almost all tyyplologic configurations. This paper intends a general clasification of tensile sturctures with examples builded in Seville. To introduce them, some concepts about hanged and pretensioned structures are explained with references tohistorical buildings and ancient constructions as well as more modern roofs. Some consderations about elemental analysis are also considered.
