Abstract:In order to quantify the influence of cover the same area of the reinforcing bars using different bar diameters on the moment curvature diagram of concrete beams submitted to constant bending moment an experimental programmme has been conducted. The experimental tests have been performed on sixteen simply supported beams. The beams have been instrumented with displacement transducers, strain gauges and load cells to determine their structural response. Some conclusiones may be derived from the experimental results. Basically the parameter studied has not influence in the moment curvature diagramme.
