Abstract:
Prestressed concrete is experiencing an interesting evolution. From adherent prestressed we have gone thru external prestressing, extradorsal prestressing and finally to the cable stays. From being an action and a structural response it has become resisting morphology. The future comes to be promising using on one hand synthetic materials and on the other hand the control of the response by means of smart structures.
