Abstract:
The article describes the basic characteristics of post-tensioned slabs and compares them with conventional reinforced concrete solutions. The post-tensioning technique with unbonded tendons has not beeen very common in Spain until now, and has been used only rarely. Some of the most representative buildings constructed in Spain are mentioned and, by way of reference, some of the buildings constructed in other countries in the past few year are described
