Abstract:
The different articles related to durability aspectos of the EH-91, the EP-80 and ENV-206 are discussed. The comments are offered article by article due to the agreement between all four documents is much higher than the discrepances. In fact, the EH-91 already has incorporated most of the requirements described in EC-2 and ENV-206. Thus, concrete covers, minimum cement contents, maximum chloride proportions and crack widths are very similar in all the documents. Perhaps, innovations of the european documents compared with the national ones, are, that 5 exposure clases are considered instead of the 3 of the Spanish Codes, and the models for calculation the maximum crack widths. In summary, allthe documents follow the classical approach of other codes in the way they try to deal with durability aspects.
