Abstract:
The latest works of the Expansion and Remodeling of the Cason (Madrid, Spain) began in 1997 and officially ended in 2009 when it opened as a Study Centre of the Prado Museum. These works provided new spaces for the building with the construction of two basements floors below the Access Level.The great historic and artistic value of the building put conditions on the project and works. The magnificent paintings of Luca Giordano on the fragile vaulted ceiling of the Ambassadors Hall obligated rigorous security measures and control system.
