Abstract:The participation of the TECNOS group in the tasks of coordination and immediate evaluation of more than 4500 buildings in Lorca after the earthquakes of May 2011 has provided a set of documents and information that will permit improvements in the Technical Protocol for Action after Earthquakes and will serve as a reference, by improving, supplementing or adapting future actions. These will be particularly useful for the Seismic Evaluation Groups referred to in the current SISMIMUR-06 Plan, now under revision by the Commission founded for that purpose and coordinated by the General Directorate for Civil Defence and Emergencies (Dirección General de Seguridad Ciudadana y Emergencias), which answers to the Council for the President of the Autonomous Community of Murcia (Consejería de Presidencia de la Comunidad Autónoma de Murcia), of which the TECNOS-UCAM research group forms part.
