Abstract:
This paper deals with the Desighn and Construction fo a warehouse of 198 x 18 m2 which most sifnigicative feature is its suspension roof of 6.500 m2 includin two lateral strips over the decks for loading and unloading. The roof is built of precast element of concrete hanging from 8 parabolic cables. The problems of design and construction of this kind of structures are analysed and the chosen solution described, including details of the main structural members. It is also included a brief description of a method of calculus developed for introducing the effect of shape chaning in cables in conventionals computer programs. It is finally described the erection process of the roof.
