Abstract:
The Australian Concrete structures code, AS 3600, provides little guidance for the design of anchor bolts. The authors suggest that ACI 318 provides suitable design provisions for headed and hooked anchor bolts. The background and design requirements of ACI 318 are examined with particular attention to provisions applying to pedestals.
