Abstract:
ACI Committee 301 has recently completed a comprehensive revision of ACI 301, Specifications for Structural Concrete. The scope of ACI 301 was increased, and many of the requirements that have been in previous versions for many years were revised. This article discusses the general changes and the added subjects in the document. Two additional articles will discuss some of the modifications made to default requirements in previous editions of ACI 301 as well as provide information on how the construction team should use ACI 301 when it’s referenced in Project Specifications.
