Abstract:Concrete production methods and materials have changed radically during the past decades. Concurrently, laboratory research on concrete and on concrete source materials have been furnished with powerful analytical and testing instrumentation and corresponding basic scientific knowledge. The aim of this paper is to stimulate discussions on how parallel developments in practice and research can be effectively integrated for improved quality management of concrete in production, and for improved performance quality of field concrete.
