Abstract:
A permanent corrosion-monitoring system has been developed that indicates the corrosion risk for the reinforcement in concrete structures. This system enables the owner to take preventive protection measures before damages occur. Sensors for the system were developed by the Institute for Building Materials Research at TH Aachen, Germany. The electronic equipment for measuring and software for analysis of the data were developed by the Company for Sensors and Prestressing Techniques in Cologne, Germany.
