Abstract:
A significant breakthrough in the urban application of ferrocement was achieved with the use of precast ferrocement sunscreens for long spans of more than 3 m in public housing developments in Singapore. Quality and economy were achieved by successfully implementing industrialized systems to prefabricate the sunscreens.
