Abstract:
The problem of prestressing a horizontally curved beam is studied in general. Horizontal and vertical eccentricities are considered in order to control simultaneously, torsional and bending stresses throughout the girder. . .It is pointed out that in such a case not only vertical but also horizontal cable eccentricities are required.
