Abstract:
A successful computer program for the solution of plate problems - such as one based on the finite element idealization - can provide a basis for the design of slab bridge decks. Much additional work must be done before a fully streamlined program suitable for design work is practicable. . .The paper deals with the three aspects of the problem.
