Abstract:Full size concrete pipe were cast using steel fibers as reinforcement to either replace all or some of the conventional cage reinforcement. The direct tension test yields reasonable estimates of the tensile strength of fiber reinforced concrete as veirified by stress-strain relations of it and of the pipe test and by the spliting tensile test.
