Abstract:An analysis of a reinforced masonry flexural testing program carried out at Carleton University is presented with data obtained from other published sources. Practical design relationships are proposed in keeping with the current limit state design philosophy to deal with flexural capacity and minimum and maximum reinforcement ratios.
