Abstract:A multi-million dollar International Trade Center has recently been completed in New Orleans, Louisiana, a city which is second only to New York City in the U.S.A. in the volume of its international trade. The project is situated on a five acre plaza adjacent to the Mississippi River and consists of a 33 story Trade Mart tower providing 520,000 sq ft of office and commercial space, an International Convention and Exhibition Facility providing 250,000 sq ft of exhibition space, and parking below grade for 820 cars (see Fig. 5-1).
