Abstract:
The bearing designs for a large, asymmetric concrete cable bridge are described. The special requirements for the support of a cable-stayed structure include vertical freedom in the cable-supported spans and longitudinal restraint for traffic and construction loads. The solution to these criteria is a specially designed horizontal bearing.
