Abstract:
The actual cost of various parts of building construction is information guarded with great care from every interested or curious eye outside of the firm, and often even from the trusted emloyee. It is information usually known only to the manager or owners of the construction company and kept by them under lock and key. The auther proposes to give some actual job costs from his own experience, and it is not pure philanthropy on his part to publish this data. If the selfish business motive is stated, perhaps more confidence may be placed in the figures given.
