Abstract:
While in search of a suitable material, coating or treatment to be applied to the surface of porous outter walls of concrete block or monolithic structures to prevent the absorption of water during rain storms, and the consequent dampening of the inner surfaces of these walls, a series of tests have been undertaken by Westinghouse, Church, Kerr and Company of New York. The purpose of these tests may be stated as follows in the paper.
