Abstract:
In 1914, and in a paper read before this Association in 1907, the following statement was made [as further presented in the paper] . . .These statements seem to have caused considerable comment, at the time, possibly because of the then general lack of knowledge of the subject. Immediately thereafter, it came to me through various sources and from different parts of the country that I was an alarmist, was injuring the cement industry, etc.
