Abstract:
All natural and artifical materials which will harden, both in air and water, when mixed with lime are designated Materials Producing Hydraulic Properties. Such materials are the whole series of Tufa of recent volcanic eruptions; among which are the Puzzuolana, Santorin earth, slag, as well as various other mixtures of clay and silica.
