Abstract: Recent developments in the manufacture of farm drain tile have emphasized the importance of having a simple standard portalbe testing machine which may be used for making tests of drain tile in the field or at the plant. The increasing use of tile of large size in farm drainage districts is well known. The competition between clay tile and the concrete tile as brought up new questions.
