Abstract:
Bring unable to locate definite and reliable data as to the volume of putty and cream of lime which a given quantity of quicklime would produce and as it appeared desirable to have such data in the records of the Institute for ready reference for use in specifying cement-lime mortar mixtures for stucco and for other purposes, it was decided to carry out a series of determinations in the Laboratory of Westinghouse Church Kerr and Company to ascertain some of these physical characteristics.
