Abstract:
A comparative study of the strength and deformation behavior of plain and steel fiber reinforced concrete ground slabs is given. Two plain concrete and four steel fiber reinforced concrete ground slabs under central loading have been investigated experimentally. Two fiber types and two different subbases were used. The results of the theoretical analysis are compared with the experimental results. The steel fiber reinforced concrete ground slabs are analyzed using the finite element method. Finally, the goal of developing a rationalized design principle applied to plain and steel fiber reinforced concrete ground slabs is set.
