Title: Producing Pervious Pavements
Author(s): Matthew Offenberg
Publication: Concrete International
Appears on pages(s): 50-53
Keywords: placement; pervious; pavement; drainage
Abstract:Construction of pervious concrete is different from plain concrete pavements in that the contractor is responsible for an extra level of quality control. Acceptance of the material is not based on strength and smoothness, but porosity and thickness, so it takes a different mindset to build. The purpose of this article is to help identify each party’s responsibility and identify the keys for their success. But, primarily we will focus on the concrete contractor’s role in the success of the pervious pavement.
