Abstract:
An example of a typical application of welded wire fabric (WWF) and fiber reinforced concrete (FRC) is used to discuss the function and performance of each composite system as a secondary reinforcement in nonstructural slabs. Arguments based on geometric properties are used to provide a basis for comparing the two systems. A terminology is recommended to help explain how WWF and FRC function as reinforcement.
