Abstract:
The designs of a segmental skewed frame concrete bridge are discussed and compared as developed by both the straight line and plastic theory methods. The plastic theory will lead to ridgid concrete frames of more economical properties capable of sustaining eqial oe greater volume changs and yielding supports are also of smaller consequence. Deflections may be expected to be greater. The author concludes that furthur substantiation of the platistic theory is desirable.
