Abstract: A method is presented for post-tensioned reinforced concrete structures whereby the effect of cable tension can be expressed as distributed or concentrated load. The analysis thus becomes a simple matter of aplying methods with which the designer is already familiar. The function of the post-tensioned wires thus can be visalized easily.
