            Abstract:
Evolution of the concrete construction industry can be traced by the improvements in materials, construction techniques, and equipment. Rising costs and efficieny have dictated innovations in concrete construction such as prestressed, tilt up, and lift slab. Each of these, or combinations such as precast prestressed units, have figured prominately a costwise and resulted in increasing popular acceptance of concrete construction in these highly competitive times. Equipment has been improved along with new developments in materials and construction techniques, and has stimulated contractors to adopt improved methods of concrete construction.
