Abstract:
Using electrical resistance techniques developed by the author for determining the setting time of cement pastes, differences in the behavior of high-alumina and portland cement techniques are based on variations in electrical resistance of cement pastes during setting. Experimental results indicate that this method cannot be applied to high-alumna cements in the same manner are used for portland cements, due to probably a parital overlapping of setting and hardening processes in high-alumina cements.
