Abstract:
Results of service tests indicate uee of properly engineered concrete in marine environments is feasible, economical, and presents no unusual problem to the engineer. Discussion of this paper centers around several theories for the deterioration of concrete in sea water and concludes with recommen-dations for correct procedures to be observed for marine concrete construction.
