Experimental results to test a yield criterion for reinforced concrete slabs are presented. Nineteen isotropically and nonisotropically reinforced slab elements were subjected to different combinations of flexural and torsional moments. Variables were the amount and relative orientation of the orthogonal reinforcement with respect to the applied moments. The yield criterion was confirmed for both isotropically and nonisotropically reinforced slabs subjected to any combination of flexural and torsional moments.
