Abstract:
Presents a number of revisions to the ACI Building Code. The revisions deal with minimum lap length of reinforcement, tension splice requirements, tension and axial loads, notation in shear and torsion, shear-friction, development lengths of reinforcement, anchorage of web reinforcement, precast concrete details and erection requirements, and intentional roughness of composite flexural members. The proposed changes are explained.
