Abstract:
Constitutive relations of concrete accounting the temperature and load history, the aging, and the influence of temperature on creep, are cured for the analysis of a flexurally restrained, concentrically prestressed concrete beam and a thick walled concrete ring. Both models, representing elements of actual nuclear reactor pressure vessels are analyzed as typical examples of problems encountered in concrete structures subjected to long- term thermal gradients.
