Abstract:
Methods and devices for securing reinforcing bars against horizontal displacement are reviewed in light of current criteria and so-called industry practice. The need for concrete coverage of reinforcing bars is shown to be well recognized, but it is not agreed as to which part of the industry should provide and install side form spacers.
