Abstract:
In this study a ferrocement water tank is constructed using prefabricated precast panels connected with bolts and nuts. This investigation was undertaken as a prelude to mechanizing the construction of ferrocement water storage tanks in modules, which can be assembled to any required capacity. A square tank of 4 ft (I .22 m) in plan and 4 ft (I.22 m) in height is designed using the theory of thin plates, for which the construction procedures and test results are presented and discussed.
