Abstract:
Equations to predict crack widths in partially prestressed members with different types of prestressing steel and the nonprestressed reinforcement are given. Evaluating the available test data by statistical analysis, it is shown that both the bonded prestressed steel and the nonprestressed steel influence the crack width. It is also shown that a slightly modified Gergely-Lutz equation can be used to predict the crack width of partially prestressed members.
