Abstract:
A constitutive model for confined and unconfined concrete subjected to dynamic compression is proposed. This model is based on numerous measurements of the maximum stress and the strain at maximum stress in tests performed at different strain rates. The proposed model distinguishes between the strain rate effects on dry and wet concrete. and compares well with the available test results.
